The Job

The Company:

  • The company is one of the largest distributors of ABB & Danfoss Drives.
  • A current turnover of circa £6.9 million, they are expanding year on year.
  • Family run company.

The Role:

  • As the Branch Manager your main function of the role is to lead and be accountable for the Commercial success of the branch.
  • You will lead the whole branch and communicate with HO.
  • Monitoring KPIs for all individuals and sometimes be out on the road. Look after 5 tech specialists, 1 internal sales engineer, 1 BDE & warehouse supervisor.
  • Proactively hunting new business contacts for the branch.
  • Manage the internal sales office on a daily basis, driving account management activities with branch colleagues, whilst having their own basket of accounts to manage.
  • Personally provide account management for nominated accounts and share current customer trading information with relevant colleagues.
  • You will implement the strategic and tactical business plan for the branch and convert this into profitable day-to-day business performance.
  • Champion and drive forward sales and customer service initiatives within the branch team.

The Ideal Person:

  • The ideal candidate for the branch manager is someone from the industrial electrical arena from a distributor will consider people from electrical wholesale but must be fantastic and willing to learn.
  • You must have Man Management experience.
  • Ideally you will have managed a team and individual target and be willing to hunt for new business.
