The Role of the Clinical Applications Specialist
-
Supporting a team of 4 x Sales Reps on the Advanced Monitoring & Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump side of the business (See notes for links to products)
-
Covering ITU/CC units - (Mostly adults)
-
Lots of travel/overnight stays 70%-80% - must be comfortable with this.

There is one other Clinical App person (Also National)

Implementation of all key programs and tools.
-
Plan clinical support activity to effect growth and maintain the safe and effective use of products.

Create and update all training documentation for Advanced Monitoring & Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump customers.
-
Seek new opportunities within accounts whilst training.
-
Preparation and execution of customer training workshops.
-
Support promotional activity as directed by sales management.
-
Train and educate throughout the whole sales cycle, address clinical questions and issues.

The Ideal Person for the Clinical Applications Specialist
-
Clinical experience in ICU, ITU, and operating theatres - essential - Experience in NAVA (Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist) would be a big advantage as well.

Strong technical and clinical background within cardiac/ventilation/Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) - essential
-
Presentation skills - desirable.
-
Delivery of training / coaching programmes - desirable.
-
Experience delivering training to medical/nursing personnel - Nice to have.
-
Strong organisational skills - essential.
-
Ability to master technical knowledge regarding product and its clinical use- essential.
-
The ability to create training documentation using existing frameworks - essential.
-
IT skills with experience in the use of MS Office Software and Web Internet based communication. - essential

Travel: Ability to travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays as and when required.
-
Due to the nature of this role, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of norm.
