Sales Engineer - Automation & Control

The Role of the Sales Engineer: 

• This Sales Engineer position is remote and will involve visiting customers. 

• You will be tasked with contacting new and existing customers to understand their requirements with regards to PLC’s, instrumentation, sensors, control systems, vision systems and much more.  

• You will be given full training on the product portfolio; position sensors, safety technology, industrial communications and systems for machines and will become an expert on all things industrial sensor.  

• You will be speaking to a wide and diverse client base in the automation sector which consists of Automotive, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, chemical companies amongst many others.  

• On occasion, you will also go out onto site to help customers solve problems face to face.  

 

Benefits of the Sales Engineer: 

• £50k Basic, £58k OTE Uncapped + Benefits + Executive Car. 

 

The Ideal Person for the Sales Engineer:

• A sales background in electrical/electronic engineering would be best suited. 

• Automation / PLC / Sensor experience. 

• Some exposure to a sales engineering environment. 

• Innovative, tenacious and positive. 

• You must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to influence.  

• ONC/HNC level qualification in engineering. 

• Experience of sensor technology in a wide range of industrial automation applications would be desirable.
