The Role of the Class 2 HGV Driver 

  • Deliver products safely in accordance with legal requirements and standard operating procedures in an artic/tipper blower.  

  • Always adhere to all Risk Assessments / Standard Operating Procedures. 

  • Ensure compliance with Driver’s hours and Tachograph regulations  

  • Comply with Daily Walkaround Checks and Nil Defect reporting requirements. 

  • Report unsafe conditions using Safety Observation Reporting App 

  • Use Lone Working App properly to ensure personal safety at all times. 

  • All PPE requirements to be adhered to at all times. 

  • Ensure any incidents are immediately reported to management using the Incident Report Form. 

  • Always ensure compliance with Highway Code.

The Ideal Person for the Class 2 HGV Driver 

  • Able to work under own initiative with excellent communication skills.

  • Basic IT competence (must be able to use Apps on a tablet / smartphone)
