The Role of the Clinical Support Specialist:
- Our client is a leading bespoke joint replacement solutions manufacturer for primary, revision and tumour endoprosthesis with a focus on lower limbs (Hip & Knee - 70% of the business is in knees).
- The clinical support specialist plays a vital role in customer support and training.
- The role entails in theatre clinical case support, both on territory and across the UK (as required), ensuring exemplary product and procedural knowledge.
- Maintaining accurate customer and activity records, as well as providing administrative assistance to the sales team, ensures outstanding service delivery to customers.
- Provide technical Pre/Intra/Post-Operative support to their customers, ‘supporting the lives of their customers and patients through technology and service’.
- Efficiently manage loan kit logistics, optimizing usage across the business.
- Secure purchase orders for products used in surgeries and monitor consigned product inventories.
- Deliver training to customers, ensuring safe and effective use of the product portfolio.
- Facilitate workshops at key internal and external meetings.
- Support product launches, compiling feedback reports on inaugural surgeries and enhancing future portfolio potential.
- Identify customer needs and collaborate with sales colleagues to introduce new products or support.
- Assist the quality department by engaging with customers on technical matters related to complaints and safety notices.
- Understanding the clinical application of the broader business, to always offer customers the best possible solution.
- Develop insight into the local healthcare landscape and regional strategy.

The Ideal Person for the Clinical Support Specialist
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years orthopaedics experience, preferably within Hip & Knee arthroplasty (primary & revision).
- Experience of working within the high-pressure clinical environment of an operating theatre.
- Experience in conducting product workshops and demonstrations.
- Proficiency in modern presentation media and skills.
- Excellent face-to-face communication skills.
- Problem solving skills – ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Professional, disciplined, focused and organised.
- Strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to self-motivate and perform under pressure.
- Adaptable to change.
- Collaborative approach with colleagues and customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook.
