Design Engineer - Pressure Equipment

The Company: 

• Manufacturer of stainless-steel pressure regulators 

• Established in the early 2000s, this company is highly recognized within the oil and gas industry.  

• With a diverse team this company continues to add strength and value to their core business of designing and manufacturing high-quality pressure equipment.  

 

The Role of the Design Engineer: 

• Engineering changes, amendments to drawings and other production related designs 

• Complete new designs (including relevant calculations) in accordance with the relevant design standards. 

• Participate in new product development projects under the guidance of the Design Engineering Manager. 

• Under the supervision of the Design Engineering Manager, complete R&D tasks, including assembly and testing of new designs. 

• Contribute to the Company’s continuous improvement and quality culture by looking for and recommending process improvements.

The Ideal Person for the Design Engineer:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 

• Strong knowledge of high pressure systems 

• Good operating knowledge of valves and pressure regulators 

• Excellent numeracy skills and comfortable producing manual calculations 

• Experienced user of MS Office 

• Attention to detail 

• Problem solving skills 

• Pro-active and able to take initiative
