The Role of the Field Service Generator Engineer
-
You will be required to work both in a workshop and site environment
-
Electrically and mechanically qualified
-
Be able to do mechanical and electrical fault finding
-
Repair and service of generators
-
Repair and service of associated equipment
-
Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
-
Service equipment both on and off site
-
Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
-
Complete paperwork and time sheets in a timely manner
-
Good customer service skills
-
Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
-
Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
-
Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
-
Present a professional image at all times
-
Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with the company Health and Safety Policy

The Ideal Person for the Field Service Generator Engineer
-
Solid mechanical aptitude
-
Minimum 5 years generator experience
-
Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams
-
Diagnostic and leadership skills able to work in a team or alone
-
Driving License
-
Ability to service the range of machines would also be useful
-
Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
-
Proficiency with MS Office
-
Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
-
Efficiency
-
Flexibility – remain flexible to all aspects of the role
