The Role of the Miller Setter 

• Online Program, set up and operate 3 and 4 axis (X Y Z & A) milling machines to produce high-quality components to precise specifications. 

• Understand technical drawings to ensure accurate production. Drawings are simplified and produced in-house for ease of set-up. 

• Set-up job as per internal setting sheet for each job. 

• Monitor production processes to ensure that they meet quality standards. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and production processes  

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming using FANUC controls 

• Mechanical set up and operation of a CNC vertical & horizontal milling machine for small batch runs. 

• Measurement of machined parts and adjustment of offsets to ensure the accuracy of the finished components
