The Role: 

Press Tool Design Manager 

• Based from the office in Sutton Coldfield. 

• Managing a team of 3 who are responsible for press tool/jig and fixture design. 

• Monitoring progress and assisting with day to day supervision. 

• Player/manager role - Designing and developing press tool and fixture designs. 

• Implementing improvements to manufacturing and assembly processes. 

• Also supporting on New Product Development. 

• Delivering improved efficiency and reducing downtime.   

• New product development, testing and research. 

• Circa £44k Neg.

The Ideal Person: 

Press Tool Design Manager 

• Engineering qualification – HNC or degree preferred. 

• Experience of press tooling or jig and fixture design – 5 years. 

• 2 years in a supervisory position. 

• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings. 

• Able to use a range of measuring equipment. 

• Motivated towards achieving high standards of quality. 

• Good IT Skills , including Microsoft Office suite . 

• Good 3D CAD modelling software knowledge (Creo Parametric preferred). 

• Auto-CAD software knowledge. 

• SAP Knowledge (Preferred but not essential). 

• Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes. 

• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
