The Role of the Field Service Engineer 

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of oil and gas monitors to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Install new monitoring equipment at various sites across the Southeast, London, up to East Anglian and across the southern region of the UK. 

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client issues and offering expert advice on equipment use and maintenance. 

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment logs. 

  • Travel to client sites within the designated regions, with occasional overnight stays (1-2 times per month) as needed based on job requirements. 

  • Take control of your schedule to balance long days with the need to be home, ensuring a mutually beneficial arrangement.

The Ideal Person for the Field Service Engineer 

  • Previous field service experience in electro-mechanical field. 

  • Clean driving license

  • Flexibility and the ability to respond well to change and pressure plus a methodical approach to problem solving and trouble shooting. 

  • A passion for excellent customer support with a personable approach and the ability to communicate at all levels to develop long standing customer relationships. 

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms 

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to resolve customer issues. 

  • Minimum 1 year experience servicing analytical equipment. Some knowledge of the water industry would be an advantage, but not essential. 

  • Able to deliver a high level of customer care, willing and able to travel 5 days per week, Monday to Friday with some staying away. 

  • Good English skills, both verbal and written.
